Cardinals rookie third baseman David Freese received the National League Player of the Week award, Bank of America and Major League Baseball announced this afternoon.Freese hit .462 through the week with an MLB-best 11 RBIs, six of which came in one game. The third baseman and St. Louis native also had three homers and slugged .923.
His .355 batting average leads all rookies.
